love story of: matt + ellie

Matt and Ellie had their sweet ceremony at the Tucson Arizona Temple and held their reception at the Tucson Botanical Gardens.

This wedding day was different than any other wedding day I have been a part of or shot — and I can tell ya, it was not lacking in any sense of the word! These two were so full of bubbly energy — even in the hot, midday desert sun — and their friends and family were so welcoming!

Since I am not a member of the LDS church, I was not allowed to be present for the ceremony — but thats OK — Matt + Ellie had their loved ones there supporting them and that is all that matters!

All the other guests and myself were waiting patiently for the newly-weds to emerge from the side doors to burst into pure celebration as they walked hand in hand to greet everyone.

After that I wisked the two lovers away to get some super sweet portraits around the grounds of the temple. AND THERE WERE BALLOONS! The biggest, most luxe modern white balloons. But ya know… balloons and Tucson cacti do not mix. Not one bit. SO long story short, we lost A LOT of balloons that day, but they were the perfect addition to the portraits!

Once photos were done at the temple, everyone went and took a lunch break nearby with the intention of reconvening at the Tucson Botanical Gardens for the reception!

The rest of the night was very relaxed and just full of family members and close friends catching up with the newlyweds over dinner and a few cupcakes designed to look like cupcakes – so cute AND tasty.

Once the night was over, Matt + Ellie snuck off to their getaway car in the parking lot that was fully decorated with “Just Married” all over the windows earlier in the night by a handful of the members of the bridal party.

Overall, it was SUCH A GREAT DAY!
